Breathing exercises you can try while working:

  • Exercise #1

Place your thumb on one side of your nose, preventing it from inhaling, and breathe through the other side. Do this alternately. This is a basic exercise that puts you in control of your breaths. You can do this for one or two minutes initially and increase the time duration after each week. Doing so helps you focus and concentrate better; it can even make your skin glow. The best time to do this is early in the morning.

  • Exercise #2

Focus on your breaths. Inhale, then breathe out of your nose aggressively. Don’t inhale; continue exhaling five times. The goal is to exhale as many times and as fast as you can. Experts do this 108 times and end it with a loud, long exhale. It will be difficult for beginners, but with practice, you can get the hang of it. This exercise is linked to substantial weight loss, and you emit carbon dioxide. This warms up the body and relaxes muscles. It contributes to efficient digestion and helps with headaches.

  • Exercise #3

Cover your eyes with your fingertips and relax. Once you’re calm, breathe in quietly. You need to focus, as everybody thinks that inhaling makes no sound. But it does, and you have to avoid that. Inhale as much air as you can, then exhale with a humming sound. Make sure that you empty the air you inhaled before. Repeat the process ten times, then take a break while keeping your eyes closed.

Remember that numbers are only for beginners. The goal is to repeat the whole process multiple times for a set time duration. The number of repetitions doesn’t matter as long as you’re doing it right.
